we’re gonna be fine, rest assured.
however we are gonna have to get over a few problems.
the first being; you live next to the ocean. although you live near the olympics, you are not that near. everyone is going to be heading for mountain towns and higher ground out there. i lived in oly for a while and know that puget sound is a densely populated area. i now live in minneapolis where the country is close and the woods closer. the population is spread out and the ocean is far away. so if you are talking apocalypse there is probably rising sea-levels and mayhem on the coasts.
the second thing; (which is a result of the first thing) do you know how difficult it will be to come and get you. i am confident i would be able to make it out there on foot, dirtbike, and car but it would just be a drain on my resources and put us behind most of the world on securing a location for survival. not to mention separate us from my well skilled posse here in MPLS. even if we did agree on a safe spot to rendezvous like community print (which might be underwater) or the water tower on the eastside (might be a lot of people with very little fresh water and food there, just sayin) it will still be awful trying to get out of there. and if a hero (me) came to get you with a healthy stock of supplies ( backpack full of dried meats from my journey out there, tools, a shotgun, ammo, water and skills to get fresh safe drinking water from most places, maps, hope, and mission to get out of there) id be a target of most people. you’d be likely to die for knowing and putting your trust in a mystic/skilled man like myself.
the third thing; if you are gonna run with me you gotta have at least a few skills. that is great you feel confident in bearing children. thats a start. and your willingness to cook and prepare food will go a long way in keeping us alive. but your gonna have to learn to identify edible plants and forage for food. i will teach you my skills in this because it is better to be working together in anything. your also going to have to learn to dress wounds, set broken bones, and prevent illness. i will do all the fending off enemies, killing and skinning of animals (if you want), shelter building, and navigation. but you just cant be hanging at camp while im shooting rounds off or on a day hunt. these are easy skills to learn so dont put the pressure of survival on your shoulders. that is the burden i carry.
i live with two dogs. one an amazing protector (blue healer) and other an amazing scavenger (pit bull/rottweiler). so they will be amongst our posse. i believe it is best to be amongst a group especially in the first 6 months as we navigate this new world.
so if you choose to roll with me you will be amongst a group of skilled, spiritual, determined, and real people. my closest friend, whom you will grow to trust and respect, is a trained herbalist and EMT. you will soon find that our communication is on a higher plain and that we will know when enemies are near and probably not tell anyone until we have snuck away from camp and dealt with the problem. we will probably entrust in him the status of godparent. we will also have a few nurses and doctors in training, a few farmers, a couple mean sons of guns, a couple of clothing makers, a yoga teacher ( pregnancy yoga is only gonna help with a safe and healthy birth), some artists, and others who feel they can contribute to a group for survival.
the skills i will bring to our life together; i never said “uncle” or “i give” on land. never.im a heck of a shot with a 12/20 gauge shotgun,i can dress (skin, butcher, and hide) an animali will be taking two classes this spring; one- curing a smoking meats, two- making longbows and arrows at a folk school here in minnesota (we will have more modern weaponry, but it is good to have a back-up plan for most things. and silent hunting will keep our location undetected), i can make a solid shelter in the wildernessi can make safe drinking wateri believe in the natural world and can understand signs given from nature
well i teach adults how to read, so my skills with people is going to put us even further ahead in this new world. we will need to trade and barter with other people, talk to know where enemies have been, talk to know where there is an abundance of fresh water. we will have fear of other people but ultimately we will help other good people survive.

Seeking resourceful man to take me with him for apocalypse. I would like to live but would die without someone who knows about wilderness survival. Ideally you can build us shelter, get food and ward off enemies. I will help keep you warm and provide you with company. Sex of course will be part of this arrangement. In exchange for you keeping me alive I will make you food and could help repopulate the planet with you. If you had a dog that would be pretty great as well.
